No. I'm using my distributor. You need a distributor that has no advance function. You can lock out the advance on an MSD or use a lean-burn factor distributors which have no advance function, for example.

That's an error!
The EZ system has a HP limit because of it's requirement to run only high-Z injectors, and with a single TB you have only 4 injectors. You can go to about 850 HP with the port injected EZ system (8 injectors) but you are still limited by the flow rate of high-Z injectors.
The new XFI 2.0 has NO horsepower limit!

Ran my MS II well into the 8's and drove lots of street miles with it.
Worked well but got tired of waitng for the LCD Dash firmware upgrades and the MS 3.. So I bought a BS3 and Racepak dash which works great but will be going back to an MS3 soon enough.
