Yet another shot of Dave's HEMI Daytona. I don't think i have any of his car with any different set's of tires on it. I know he had at one time like 3 different sets of tires for the car. Including a set of Kelsey Hayes.

Another picture of Dave's car. This time though because of the Green Bird that is next to it. I like the blacked out trunk. Okay so i don't but it looks pretty good with it being blacked out with the black vinyl top. Would look better with a blacked out hood too.

Just a sharp looking red/white combo daytona. Black interior. My ideal daytona if it had a black wing too.

I think the Red 500 with the Centerline wheels was in a major magazine back in the day....

Here is a nice Daytona from out of Illinois. This pic is from 1982, and i believe it was taken here in Indianpolis before a meet. Not positive on that one. But this is my ideal color combo on a Daytona. One day i'll have one identical to this because i can't afford to have Dave's old Daytona.

This shot is mainly for OneBad as he likes this types of retro mopars. Like the wide tires on the car. It would be nice considering its a 4 speed and all. Well that and its a Daytona.

This is my wife's favorite Daytona that she has seen a picture of so far. She loves blue, but then again i think that she'd like a Q5 Daytona more than this. But maybe thats just my wishful thinking.

Are you refering to the car out of Texas? And hey nice pair of HEMI 500's you have there Peter. You aren't still looking to get rid of one of those are you?

Danny, I am refereing to that Texas car. If I find a suitable Daytona I will sell/trade for one.

if your refering to Panama Pete's car i believe there was quite a few of us who knew where that car was. Well I had seen it 3 times when i lived in florida. However that was back in 98. Then again I think they lost contact with it when Pete sold it. I think someone will wind up buying it, and probably rebody it, and then try to sell it off.

Danny, way cool pictures! It was well worth the wait! Do ya have more coming? I'm gonna have to do some digging and see if I have any more to post too. I don't think they'll be as cool as yours though!

Oh i still have a full rubbermaid full of negatives and pictures i haven't gotten into yet. These pic i've posted are just of the ones in a shoebox i've actually sorted them. Have them all lumped together, as my dad's cars, then dave's cars, then mike atkins cars, art morris's cars, and the such. If i know who's cars they were.

On a side note just got a call about the location of the RED on RED Daytona. It was a confirmation call of the location, and get this the car is within 15 miles of where my dad sold it from. I think i'm going to go look at it this week. Just so that i can post a pic of me and that car 20 years ago and then a pic of me and that car today.

Even cooler on going to see the red on red Daytona! Is there a chance that you could end up acquiring it? Now that would be the most awesome scenario! Is the car currently restored or is it the same way as when your dad had it?

Car has been "restored" since being sold by my father. However it was done 20 odd years ago, and wasn't perfect then so i was told. The car isn't for sale, owner plans on having the car for life. Which is good for me, as that means i have many more years i can go over and view it. Also means maybe i'll have some money by the time it all comes to pass. like in 30 more years.

40 more years??? Danny, you need to get that car NOW!!! When ya go over there, act all sad and everything and tell him that you've got tons of boyhood memories with the car and that it would mean the world to you to have the car. It couldn't hurt!

I don't have nearly enough money to get one now. Its good enough to finally be able to say that I know where one of my dad's old cars is. And i believe the the current owner has more memories with the car than i do. Considering i was 2-5 years old, so that is 3 years with the car, and they have had it 20+ years. But i'll be sure to mention that if they ever do decide to get rid of it, i'll give it a great home.
