Man I'd like to get a hold of one of those engines. Imagine 13.5to1 compession, solid roller cam, 1050 dommy, 1 7/8 headers, cnc ported heads in a '69 Dart or 'cuda. Would be very fun and would get attention!

Sure, then you would get summarily trounced from anyone running a 69 Dart or Cuda with a second gen hemi running 13.5:1, solid roller, 1050 dom...

But you would get all kinds of attention!

The 470/470 rating may be false.

A 392 Challenger was at a track last weekend, 100% bone stock running 12.40's @ 110+

I know someone at Dyno. Engine is capable of 525 HP with a tune and headers. They had a hard time meeting pollution standards at idle, so they had to pull some timing out of it. With a diablosport tune, the 392 should make 500-510 easy. Should motivate the big girl in the 12.20's with ease, as the one car already went 12.40's. MPH is not so great though at 110.

Not so sure that everyone with a second gen hemi would beat it. I've seen some pretty dang slow hemi cars. Shoot the guys running the new Challengers in stock have already run 9.50's, with stock heads, crank, ect.

So what happened to the aluminum block we were promised would be in it?

I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

you mean stockER heads. doubt they take them straight off the assembly line. none the less, the package has great potential

Yes they are not stock but they are not fully ported either. They still have to pass a factory cc test. Wish I had one of these motors to play with.
