If you work for someone, don't you do what they pay you for?

I think Ford, Castrol, and AAA were the ones giving the 20+ million $$$$ a year orders..

For that coin, I would be yes sir also..

Chris..

just don't say it didn't happen...It's big business,nothing more...

They are PROFESSIONAL RACERS. Of course it's about business but I hesitate to call it BIG.

Millions of dollars invested in a race team qualifies as a "BIG" investment in my book. I see no difference in drag racing than pro football or basketball (burning up the clock to keep the ball away from the other team) or baseball (pitching around a good hitter). The ones controlling the purse strings call the shots and expect results. Pro racing is so far above the average little guy anymore it's not funny (and has been for years). Even with that, I still enjoy watching a race on tv or seeing one in person. I've personally seen Force have to be practically man-handled away from the fans to get to the line. There have been very few others that you could say that about. Like others have said, Force has earned what he's got and deserves the recognition. If you don't like him, don't watch or record it and fast-forward around him.

There's a big difference. The other sports analogies you mention are within the rules and, more importantly, within the spirit of the game. Having team-mates lay down for each other most certainly is not within the spirit of drag racing.

If the racing isn't on the level, why watch?

if anyone feels its not on the level, (with or WITHOUT PROOF) and it bothers them that much, then do not watch it.

Actually, after last year's shenanigans, I watched a lot less this year. I used to watch almost every event. I only watched a handful this year, and had Hagan/Beckman not been in it at the end I wouldn't have watched a single event once the countdown started.
