I have been a board member on here for many years, and a lot of members know me personally. Those that do, know i am a terrible politician and always say what is truly on my mind, if it ruffles feathers or not ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif) The above all said.... I had a complete 422 inch smallblock built by Best a few years back. I was super happy with the work, consistancy, and long term power this motor made, and still makes with its new owner as we speak. I would have zero problem recommending Best to anybody. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bow.gif)

You tooooo ? .. ... ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smoke.gif)
They seem to have GOOD reports here but my experience with email contact has not been so lucky. The two times I sent them emails about block machining time-factors and pricing went uNanswered.

I had a motor that had been hurt, so I took it to Pete and Chuck, on Steff's recommendation. I was very impressed with their knowledge. Also, I am always skeptical that the oversell will begin after a shop starts working on your engine. This was not the case at all. These guys are a class act. I am still sorting out my combination, between traction, fuel, and electrical, but the car has proven to me that there is a lot of power there. I'll definitely go back to Best!!!
