So it appears that the aerospace rear kit will have about .030 of clearance.
I can't say enough about Ed @ Strange who spent about a half hour on the phone with me regarding all this. Their rear race kit B1704wc will work as .125 can be shaved off the calipers.

It's looking that way. I love eating 65 bucks to restock the wilwood kit. I think both Summit and Jegs need to put the backspace warning on these streetlite wheels.
Strange said absolutely not to run their front kit on the street though. Seems odd since it seems I have seen quite a few people on here say it's no problem to do so. I guess I'll forge forward with the wilwood front kit but then get the strange rear kit. It's either that or drums.

Good news finally! The Strange rear disc kit B1704WC works with the streetlites and 5.5" BS. They thought I may have to mill down the calipers .125 but it all went together and still has probably .125 of space between the caliper and the wheel center. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) Now I just have to make them last on the street.

Everything worked exactly like 67Wedge said it would. Have to trim the outter lips. I have contacted Billet Specialties to see if they would/could make a 15x10 in a 6 inch backspace which would be perfect in an a-body with the 3/4 offset kit and 275/60/15's. Right now I have exactly one inch of clearance from the tires to the leaf springs so picking up the .5 inch would pull the tire in likely enough to keep from cutting/rolling the lips as much. I may even go to the 6.5BS and then buy a 3/8 billet spacer to make it work.

I run the 3.5" front wheels, I needed them to tuck under the fender as far as possible because of the Wilwood brakes. Rears are 15x10.
do the wilwoods push out the rim alot further?
The wildwood kit pushes the wheel out about a 1/2".I went with a 3 1/2" wheel and 2.25 backspace aluma star 1 peice. My backs i think were in a little farther.

Those spindles are definitely more beefy than the 9" drum spindles. Hopefully the 9" will work just fine and save a bunch of weight.
