Disc brake wheels should fit the Viper calipers but older drum brake rims usually do not fit. Aftermarket rims are usually designed with extra caliper spacing but not always. Sounds like Marq has a set that don't quite clear.

Andy's Viper caliper kit on stock rotors will fit a 15" wheel.
The Viper caliper kit on 13" rotors will fit 17" wheels.

Both kits use front calipers.

Thanks for the link! I have seen it before, the problem I have is that I have 73-74 E-body spindles and the AR kit won't work as it uses drum spindles.

Here is a picture of the Viper calipers that you were asking about.

What year calipers are these? Will they work on a 15 " rim? What thickness rotor are these for? What are you asking for them, if they are still available?
Thanks Brad

The OP now owns that pair of calipers.

Ok thanks! were they 3rd gen calipers? I'm in learning mode at the moment!
Would they have fit under 15" rims? I'm guessing no?
Thanks again!
Brad

No, the radial mount calipers are too big to fit under 15 inch rims. If you are going to stay with the small wheels then the only Viper calipers you can use are the early ear mounted ones.

Wow, how did I miss this post? I have a loaded set of Viper calipers off a 2004 model. Still hoping to convert someday on the Cuda. Like Andy's product but also concerned about custom rotor availability on a consumable part. OzHemi, you have cad drawings for that adapter? And a p/n for the Mercedes rotor?

I made the brackets from scratch, so no cad drawings, sorry...

The rotors are 360mm diameter.. The application was like 2007 SL600/SL55 (Feets can rattle off the factory part number probably. )

I just had them redrilled for the bolt pattern I wanted.

Some other specs off rockauto..

Baer makes rotors for the Viper conversion. The Baer rotors cost a lot more than my rotors, but they look cooler and they are a lot lighter. Just depends on what you're trying to do with the car and how thick your wallet is.

Oz and Andy, thanks for the replies. I'm still playing mind games with myself. For a car with a 528 RB hemi, that I rarely drive (and rarely above the speed limit) I want 4 new wheels, new tires for them, drum spindles to replace my disc spindles, and a caliper mounting kit with rotors. The Viper calipers will probably end up being the cheapest part, next to a set of spindles I haven't bought yet. Don't think for a moment I think your product prices are out of line. I think they're quite reasonable. If I keep this up I'll have $75k in a $75k car.

I don't the spindles should be that pricey. The pair I picked up for this very swap were 15 bucks each - in good shape - from a yard in central OR.

No problem... aside from the calipers, the rotors are only like $160 - $165 from memory right from the Mercedes dealer. (think I paid $20 to have them both redrilled for the bolt pattern..let the place who built my wheels do it, since they are all drill bolt patterns in things)

So it makes for a very economical setup, if you are able to make the caliper brackets like I did.

Oh, and the hubs too...I used some new ones from Oz.. but you could use drum ones, cut down old rotors, etc..
