chris3 OP mopar Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 622 NC	I know this is a Mopar site; however, I understand another one of the Heros of drag racing is in very bad health. I understand he is in the hospital and had to undergo surgery yesterday for bleeding on his brain from a previous blot clot surgery. Bill is a big part of the history of this sport. Probably one of the most famous Sox and Martin photographs is two killer 4-speed shifters with the wheels up off of the starting line. Those two battled it out for the fans all across this country in "the days of drag racing." Thoughts and prayer for the Grump and his family, get well soon.

JC Childress mopar J Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 411 Big Island ,VA	He is a great guy, and me having worked for Ronnie Sox and having been a friend of Ronnie, I can tell you that he had the utmost respect for the Grump. The Grump actually started out in a Mopar in case some dont know, and hes now building the engine on a pretty fast Super Stock Hemi car,so hes in the Mopar world even still today.
