Im looking to avoid a costly replay of Cudabins misfortune. Does anyone have some pics and advise they would be willing to post? Im using Indy-1's as well and plan to upgrade with some drainbacks to the pan over the winter.
Thanks
Tony

no pictures either, but mine is installed on the splash pan between the grill and radiator, out of sight but clocked where I can see the gage.

if possible use a 4 port remote filter base. Using the extra outlet for your connetion makes it very easy to feed the accusump with clean oil and return it to the same place your filter does. That way you supply oil diretly to the critcal area, some herechose to use the port where the oil pressure gauge isand that's no good.

here where it mounts

That's the beauty of using a four port filter mount. It is the feed and supply . there are no other lines.

The Indy Maxx block has #8 threaded port to run an external pickup directly to the front of the block. Could you plumb the accusump to that, or does the fact that it is a suction line mean it would just drain it right away??

that way you would be filling the cylinder with oil that was not filtered and that's what you would send back to it.

Here is a picture of mine.

I use the Accusump filter adapter to plumb into. It has a large fitting port so that the #10AN line is not restricted.

Thank you for all the pics and replies, very helpful. I have another question, what pressure should I set up the system at if using an electric valve? I see they (accusump) have a few different options. My Titan pump runs at 70psi. I am using a CV products remote filter mount. It only has three ports, but theres a port Im not using. Would that be a good supply to the reservoir? like the 4-port Fred is suggesting.
Thanks

Yes it would if that port is in the return passage and it should be

I use the manual valve on the Duster and trying the standard electric on the Cuda . I like the no metering flowm of the manual. It make the sump become fully working part of the oil system rather than an addition. Using the manual it flows unmetered with no pauses and there's zero chances of electric failures

So for the manual lever system you just open the valve before you make the run? or do you have a have a cable/lever to open it should the need arise. I guess I dont understand how it would automatically release pressurized oil with a manual ball valve at the accumulator. Sorry for the ignorance.

It has pressurized oil in it so before your start car turn valve to release oil into motor for priming. Acumulator will recharge once motor starts and then you can turn valve off for next start or leave valve open until just before you kill motor and then turn off valve.
