That one sure looks better!

You know I've had side view pictures of that car and never knew about the wonky nose until I saw it here.

Dave you may be able to help me out here, but i was looking at the partial list of the color's of Daytona's that was posted. One color made me think in particular. Q5 he listed 2 that he knew of. I was thinking there was 6 of them. I know that i saw 2 posted for sale at the same time in different parts of the country in Hemmings Motor news, like back in 94 i believe it was. One was a 440 car, the other was a Hemi. I was also thinking that there was 2 Q5 Daytona's in Ohio currently. Seems to me that one of the Q5 daytona's that was for sale in 94 ( i think it was 94, either then or summer of 96) that one car was from Alabama.

On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

Chris, I know that car! Real nice guy out of Florida I think owned it at the time I first seen it in 1988 at Talladega. Kinda unusual color combo but what a nice car!

One of the favorites of the wing cars my dad owned was this Petty Blue car. We owned it for about six months in 1979. I loved the Pete Hamilton treatment. This was the first wing car I got to drive. I drove it most of the back from central Indiana and was 17 at the time. A drive I still remember well.

The car was quite rusty in the rear quarters, but ran fantastic, and with 3.91 gears was a real kick to drive. RM23U0A176681. It's been sold several times since we parted ways. Was REALLY rough and rusty by the time it was restored about five years ago. It probably got a whole new rear clip with rails.

One of you guys were asking about code books or color charts specifically for wing cars. Don't know if Ma ever made any but they did have parts books with all parts for winged cars in the Charger parts section.
After I sold my spoiler to Robert Kelly (Hemi daytona) here in Newfie , I went to the Dodge dealer to see if I could buy a few and sell them. There were plenty of pics and part #s but it said "not available" , however there was an astorisk behind it . At the bottom of the page there was anote that said that the spoiler and other associated hardware could be purchased through a subsidary or something to that effect. I never bothered to persue it any farther because the Dealer could not give me any idea of the cost.

OneBad: What would be the comparative value of a daytona agaianst a 68/9 Charger 500 with the flush backlight for cars in the same condition...

Lets say in 3 categories:

rough running complete survivor,
good original
and restored conditions.

67 RO23 clone with 6.1 SRT Hemi and dual quads. Soon to have Drag Pak induction and Throttle body.

I thought I mentioned this here before, but Julius Steur DOES NOT NOW own that Superbird. He owned it very shortly and sold it to a fellow club member that NOW owns it.

Here it is at a club event with current owner:
