Here are a couple pictures of that '68 Hemi Charger 500 when it was new. Even an article with it. From Motor Trend in late '68 or maybe early '69?

This is just a quick question to anyone. does anyone know if any of the Data Code Books, or the Color and upholstery books (the dealer albums) ever had pages on the Daytona's? I have seen both with pages on the charger 500's but have yet to see any with info on the Daytona's. Does anyone know?

On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

I don't think so, due to the mid-year intro, and limited run. There was the double sided dealer brochure though.

I have the 69 charger paint and upholstery album book .Nothing on 500 or daytonas.I havent got the data engine options book.I have the original daytona announcement brochure

I forgot to mention that in the '68 Charger 500 article, it stresses twice how the Charger 500 has a higher rear spoiler than the regular '69 Charger. It is hard to tell in the picture if it does or not??

The silver Daytona isn't the one that just was in Arizona now is it? Silver Daytona in Arizona that i saw though was origionally an R4 red car, that someone had painted Silver. I love the silver Daytona's, then again i love any color on a Daytona.

The silver daytona which also had crossram intake.Was Joe Machados ,His car is now Greg pecks .The red daytona was the Richardsons car.And green XX29L9B381548 was Jim Radkes

When I first saw it as a kid in '75, I thought Machado's silver Daytona was the slickest one I had ever seen, until Radke's Petty Blue and red Hemi Daytona came along. Remember when Radke had that Hemi Daytona advertised for $12,000, like in '78? Of course, that is when the nicest 440 Daytona in the world was about $5000.
