Look sometime when I post on this site I and sometimes I get positive feedback and sometimes I get stuff thats not what the post is about and out of line. I am just curious who makes the best stroker kits Mancini or 440source? It would be nice to hear any experience first hand with either but for the cost who's kit is more durable has the best parts thats the kind of info I am looking for as I am buying my stroker kit in a few weeks.

You need to have thicker skin if you're going to be posting on the internet.

I really could care less but it gets unproductive when the thread gets highjacked. It is of little consequence, I just find the threads more entertaining when they stay on topic, about Chrysler preservation, and enhancement .

MY vote would be for the business that would PRECISELY balance each assembly as a STANDARD situation.

From what I have heard .... balancing is optional ....and is not that PRECISE from any of them.

Dynamite I noticed the Mancini kit comes balanced or unbalanced, unbalanced its cheaper than 440source. Has that ever played a role and do you know what kinda performance you got out of the others (any dyno #'s).

Then wouldnt the Mancini kit for 1400 bucks and just have my machinist do the balancing. I would just be worried about losing power over the 512 option

All three of the kits were ordered balanced per the buyers request..sorry no dyno numbers..I only know my 56 (pictured ) runs a consistant 12.5 with a 440 standard bore motor.with hyd roller and kb 237 pistons and 906 iron heads. The 512 is in a 4000lb 64 Polara vert and from a slow roll on rt 80 left me like I was on the brakes..

I have heard great things of both companies stroker kits, but only seen two of 440 Source kits from friends (they love it). I would say try posting on the racing section, probably a hundred engines being raced on there with stroker kits and would be happy with giving you some feedback with their own personal experience.

Anyone who thinks precision balancing a reciprocating engine is the key to happiness doesn't know much about balancing.

I'd buy the unbalanced version and take it to my trusted machine shop and have them check it....I did...I bought the 4.15 crank from 440S and then took my 67 440 block, with billet mains, pistons and H-Beam rods to my machinist and he said it was an amazingly simple turnaround. He was happy with the work and now Its sitting in my garage in boxes.

I dunno where Mancini gets their parts from, I know 440S gets it from China. The worlds best foundries are now there because the companies in the USA finds it too expensive to operate plus with the EPA, who can really build anything of structural integrity anymore on U.S. soil....Even Boeing gets their parts from overseas.

The best foundries remain in places like the USA, Germany, France, and Italy. The foundries willing to crank out cheap parts remain in places like China.
