I have a '72 Dart that was originally an automatic car. 451 & (A-body) A833 is going into it. Somewhere in the junkbox I have a floor hump.

What I need is a template for cutting the floor for the shifter opening. Or does somebody have measurements I can use for a starting point?

thanks!

Too esay draw around where the hum sits then follow that line with 1" masking tape. Cut the floor out using the tape as a guide. the hump usually self locates to the floor.

Thanks. That's what I did the last time, although that was 1985...

Now if I can just find that hump! I moved in '02 and think it was discarded as trash

I just sprayed paint around the hump and cut out the floor about 1/2" inside that line. Here's a pic of one of them.
