can anything elese be used in place of governor lube in a 727? wd-40 maybe? thanks

Are you talking about lubing the governor while assembling? Sorry, I don't understand the question.

yes lubing while asembling.munroe book said use gov lube. wondering if i can use something i might have already, or if i have to get that, i guess try a trans shop.

Been in the trans business for 32 years. Never heard of governor lube. ATF or WD40 is fine.
