i always hear people talk about their heads. what is the difference between, and what's desired. a buddy has 452 heads. is that good? are they stamped 452? help please

Engine Cylinder Heads, 452,906,516,915,are just some of the numbers identifying the B and RB (big block)Heads. Each Head has a different combustion chamber,valve size etc and were produced in different years. Depending on his application the 452 could be a good choice. Try to get yourself a Performance engine builders guide. They go into a lot of detail on the different Cylinder Heads and application.
