In my 65 f100 with the sreemin 289 in it went around 10.0 in the 1/8 at Fayetteville NC back in '94
Similar here, only my truck was a mutt/hot rod.
1963 Ford F-100 longbox that I bought for $800.00 back ~2004. It was a great/fun driver with it's disk brake Camaro front subframe. The truck was powered by a bone stock Chevy ('Vette) 350. Also had a Hurst Pro-Matic 2 ratchet shifter in it and the rear was a Ford 9". Shortly after purchase we put a small B&M supercharger on it topped with a Holley carburetor and welded the differential. It ran 14.0s until a bearing went. Then we finally made it right with a 1989 Dodge roller cam 360. The transmission is a stock T/F-727.
It's hauled plenty of classic Mopars all over the midwestern & eastern USA!
The truck is currently getting redone (last year I paid $1,000.00 for a rust free & driving 1963 Ford F-100 with 292 & 4-speed). All I wanted was the cab & front clip.
1969 Dodge Super Bee A12 (440 Six Pack, 4-speed, Dana 60 4.10)
1972 Plymouth Road Runner (400, 4-speed, 8.75" 3.23)
1974 Plymouth Duster 360 (360, 4-speed, 8.75" 3.23)

I made my 1st pass in a 73 Duster when I was 16 - I made 1 pass in the 12.7 range and got kicked out for having no helmet, no loop, no catch can, and no cut off switch. I ended up running on the street for a few years because it was closer to home and didn't have a tech god giving me crap.
My 2nd pass was when I was 19 in my daily driver 74 Toyota - 120ci 4 cyl/5 speed/3.70 gear - cut a 16.6 @ 83mph, I started going back after that, the 2 local tracks had new owners and were friendly to street cars, when I went the first time if you didn't have a bracket car with 14x32's they didn't want you there.

Made my first ever pass in the summer of 72. I had bought a 69 Green 340 swinger from a spoiled rich kid down the street who had beat the urine out of it since his parents bought it brand new for him in 69. Bone stock 3.23 geared 340 with a set of headers on it and a shift kit. I ripped off a 14.31 with it Paid 1200 for it, and 3 years old it already had big enough holes in both quarters to roll a baseball through. It later got stolen outside philly, while i was inside working in a shoe store as an 18 year old. Never got it back and went in the service a short while later. Later, in the service,(1975) at that time stationed in San Francisco, i spotted a b5 69 340 swinger in the parking lot of the barracks. Long story short i got it( sweet car with 4 speed) even up swap for an older Honda 450 i had. Great deal had that car quite a while. Converted it over to an auto, transferred to Norfolk, Virginia, and campaigned it several seasons at old Suffolk dragway on Sundays. that car ended up running 12.20's and was a blast. It had an unfortunate demise as well. Went on a 6 month cruise overseas, and slowly, after about 4 months being gone, my buddies wife sent him letters on our ship saying people had stolen the tires and wheels off it in the apartment complex parking lot where i had left it. next the top of the motor was unbolted, and when i returned, water was standing in all the bores. I was mighty stupid and sold it for 500 bucks I dont know if i am any smarter today, but i sure would like to have that mint bodied swinger for 500 now.

My first time down the track was in 1988 when I was 16 in my '68 383 4-speed GTS......With a bone stock el-cheapo rebuild it ran 15.30's @ 99MPH on street tires, granny shifting........
