I have a 426 rb industrial engine in a turbocraft boat that I have for sale. Most questions asked are about the engine. Could this engine be used in a car? The block casting # 2658836 and the pad in front top reads MAR 426. Thanks

Probably just a regular passenger car 426W if it is a speed boat. Could have a different cam in it and probably has a boat oil pan on it. Can't really say without seeing a picture.

Sure looks like a factory Chrysler Marine to me. Has all the marine cooling stuff, flame arrestor, etc. and MAR 426 probably means Marine 426.

I bet people are calling about the motor hoping it's a max wedge piece.

Mine has bosses that could be machined for Hemi cross-bolted main caps. I wonder if this was the so-called "NASCAR" block? Dvorak told me had a special block years ago but didn't elaborate on it other than the price.

Yep, I've seen 426W blocks like that before. People say they don't exist but I've seen at least one cross bolted 426W block. I didn't get the casting number off of it though which was a big mistake. I have a couple of 426 industrial blocks and neither of them have the bosses for cross bolts so it wasn't a standard deal by any stretch. Must have been a special block casting that isn't well known.
