At the first one, the things I remember most are seeing a 69 Daytona for the first time and the way the crowd would part for anyone wearing a NHOA t-shirt (those guys always travelled in a group and remember it was the Chrysler Car Club Convention back then) but having just attended my 30th one the thing that stnads out the most from then and hasn't changed today is the feeling of being in such a larghe group of people who are just like you.

Hey sthemi, that Indy pic reminded me of something I just remembered from that year. I was standing just about in the area where that pic was taken I suppose and when Miss Direct Connection was standing there doing whatever she did, some guy asked her to move out of the way because he was "trying to take a picture of that GTX over there". The shocked look on her face was priceless.

The Engine owned by Debbie Clark is on loan to Garlit's Museum so it has to be the same engine at Lexington in 1986 with Debbie in the pic. Anyone know what they have done with the award winning HEMI 69 Coronet or Bee???? Haven't seen or heard from them in years........
Alan and Debbie divorced few years ago, and the BEE sold and now safely resides in Cincinnatti Oh, it's in good hands and in good company.
afaik, Debbie still has ownership of the cutaway Hemi engine thats on permanent loan to Garlits museum

These 2 birds are/were owned by Jim Walton in Burlington, Ky. He sold the white interior / black vinyl top V-code car to Harold Sullivan,,whom used it as trading material for the silver bullit. (Bird is now owned by Tim Wellborn)
the other blue bird was hemi 4 spd powered(original EV2 V-code car ) he still has it
I think the green Daytona was from Michigan, (can't remember the couples name right now)
