Posted below are some cars that were owned by Moparts member 69SESunroof's dad back in the day. Appararently Dan's (69SESunroof) dad owned quite a few Mopar aero cars. Interestingly enough, Dan's dad one day just up and sold off all the aero cars and moved off to Thailand to become a missionary where he remains to this day.
This first one is an ultra-rare Q5 Turquoise '69 Charger 500. Yes, that's a Daytona in the foreground too!
This next car is a T7 Copper '69 Charger Daytona.
This last car is a white '69 Hemi Daytona.
Anyone know where these cars are today?

No prob Dave, I sharpened and brightened the pics up a little bit and it really helped em out a lot. I had to reduce the image size a good bit though as a couple of them were huge file sizes!

these cars always grab my attention. although ill admit im more likely to want or try to buy a superbird simply because its a plymouth. ive always prefered plymouths over dodges. what amazes me is the fact that people didnt want these cars. id love to learn more about these cars and their owners. if you own one, want one, or just have stories about people that do/did then tell me about them.

Have to clairfy here just a bit. The T7 daytona, and the white hemi daytona weren't owned by my father. He just went to look at both of them back in the early 80's when they were for sale. The T7 daytona was in South Dakota, and the white Hemi daytona was in colorado at the time. The Q5 charger 500 was bought here in Indianpolis for $800 in 1978. Car wasn't numbers matching as it had a 383 in it at the time of purchase. The Daytona in the foreground of the pic is R4 red, Red interior, buddy seat, auto on colomn, white stripe, 440 car, ps, pb, am 8 track car. It just happens to be the only pic with both those cars in it, and i'm desprately trying to track them both down now.
On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

Also the Q5 charger, didn't have a facotry installed vinyl top. Actually the top i don't believe was vinyl, more of a cloth material.

Dan, oooooooops, Wingcars6970 kinda forgot to tell me that part when he sent me the pics and told me to post em! In either case, they're still a cool group of cars. If you get some more pics scanned in, I'd be happy to host and post em for ya.
Dale, Wingcars6970 and I were just talking last night about the need for a complete and accurate database/registry and even an ownership history of all the winged cars. They are low enough in production numbers to where this is a do-able project. Doesn't just looking at cool old pics like this of these cars back in the day make you want to know more of the history of the lives some of these cars led?

I am sorry to say it looks the same as the day I bought it, although I have an engine, 18 spline trans, and all the other parts needed to restore it. Like many of my cars it has not had the priority that it deserves... I am finally near to starting on my 1968 Hemi Charger, and need to finish my 1970 Challenger Convertible and 1970 Hemi Cuda before taking any more of my cars apart! Here is a fairly recent picture in the background in my workshop:
