Last night I came across two "paste-up" pages for a newsletter printed 29 years ago... It is not a Mopar Nats, but only the 8 car gathering mentioned when the N94 Hemi Challenger was mentioned. The meet was held on August 29 & 30, 1981 at a Dodge dealer in Austin, Texas.
Here is the first page, and what happened to the cars AFAIK...
Attending were (right to left on the panoramic center picture):
1) 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T - N94 Hemi car, now in California
2) 1970 440-6 Superbird - Same owner, same city, restored to B5 Blue
3) 1970 383 Road Runner - Not certain, owner still into Mopars... so may still have it
4) 1970 Hemi Cuda - Same owner, now lives in another state
5) 1969 Hemi GTX - Same owner, still in Texas
6) 1970 Challenger T/A - Car was sold in the late 1980s, changed hands several times since then, location unknown
7) 1970 383 Challenger - Unknown
8) 1969 Hemi Charger R/T - Car was sold less than a year after the meet, location unknown
I think it is pretty amazing that after 29 years about half the cars have the same owner!
