I always have to look at the event T-Shirts to tell what year was in what location. That St.Louis T-Shirt must of cost about 50 cents to make. I collected the Ts.for about the first twenty years and never kept track of dash plaques and window stickers after I started vending. One of the best things about the Mopar Nationsl was the chance to make a pass on a NHRA National Drag Strip at National Trail and Indy.

I've got a bunch of pics from 84 and 85, it'll take a while to scan them. The car that always sticks out in my mind from 84 was Paul Suloff's red on red Hemicuda Convertible.  I've always loved red interiors after seeing that car. For now, here are some of the dash plaques and hat pins (Yes, they used to have hat pins) from the early Nats.

From looking at some of the posted pics, I think this might be the car I took to Indy in 84. That looks like where I parked.   The car I took there in 84.  A pic of my 69 Coronet R/T at the top of the oval at the Chelsea Proving grounds in 85.
