sst404b OP enthusiast S Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 226	The car came from Columbus,Oh area,and has been in Houston Tx since around '78 or so.There is a twin to it somewhere out west, I have a copy of the build sheet and they are 7 numbers apart.I have owner history to new and pics dating to the early 70s'.The car was raced hard and put up wet,like most were. sst404b OP enthusiast S Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 226	The car was owned and raced by Bud Lefevere in stock,mainly d/sa with a 383 as the 440 was not competive in c/sa at the time.Bud never said what it ran,just said it was not a good combo then. As for the car now Ive been working on our drag pack Challenger and haven't even looked at it in 3 months,but I plan to get back to work on it next week.Here are a few more pics if they will load Ray Buckner 6270058-mdartf.jpg (312 downloads)

When the owner finally said yes he'd sell it to me my Dad said no I couldn't leave it at home as I had just joined the military(I was leaving my Duster there) I have a similar 1 owner car lined up....they said they will only sell it to me....someday

sst404b OP enthusiast S Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 226	Well long story short, I had to take the engine out of the 383 car to fix rear seal leak so I took the things I didn't have for the 440 car off the 383 car and got it running. Motor sounds good no leaks ..yet .. getting real close. I think all I need is to have the grille fixed and stainless trim around the glass polished and a few small details and should be done. Bud bought it from the dealer he was working at in Columbus it was a trade in. I plan to hang on to this one and a '64 Sport Fury 426 4 speed I have and thats it.I'm in New Waverly which is about 15 min north of Conroe. Get the Charger going and come hang out.
