I started with Shell 87 octane in my truck.
Keep track of the mileage for a few months.
Moved to Mobil and it dropped.
Tried BP 89 octane and it came up quite a bit.
Then QT started selling 93 octane in my area. I decided I would give it a try. My gas mileage went more than I expected. So I have been running QT 93 octane in my Truck and my Duster for months now.

That's absolutely the case in California.
