Weren't the originals mounted using full faced black solid head rivets, that had some sort of a cinch tool or press that flowered over the ends? What I always thought, or am I thinking just what holds the box together.

hardware to attach the box to the hood http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mopar-196...sQ5fAccessories
That kit shows 6 rivets and 12 screws. Weren't they held on using 12 rivets and 8 screws (outside edge of ducts)? At least on all the original ones I have seen, granted I haven't seen too many originals, but the ones I have seen.....

John, The one I took apart , was untouched and the only place the rivets were used was on the center section only. Both outer boxes were held on with all screws. I agree I haven't seen them all obviously either. I have an open mind and anythign is possibile. I'm always interested in learning more and offering an alternative kit if required

Bill, I thought there might be variations there, plant, day of the week, sun spots, solar flares, planetary alignment. The parts guide and service manual show rivets and screws, but does not mention location and quantity. The "restoration guides" have a lot of incorrect data, so, like you, I try to see what's out there. I have a ? and comment bout a product you offer, I'll send a pm.
