there you can see the strap just above the top rubber hose kinda hard to pick out unless you know what to look for. It attaches to the metal line coming out the tank and to the hard line on the other side of the rubber hose (not quite in the picture).Just the one gauge from the factory, some folks use a pressure gauge in hi po app.s
so the flat wire coming out of the fuel pump is what im looking for?

no the fuel pump is on the motor in a 77 charger, unless some one put some after market set up for fuel injection. Do you have a carb or fuel injection?
what you want is the fuel feed to the front from the back. coming out at the tank. Just like in the picture and it is not a wire. It is a flat metal strap as is seen from the side in the pic.
I suggested to you on another thread, you might want to look for a "factory service manual" or an older Chiltons will be helpful.
I simply wanted to know if the wire i described (going into the suggested fuel pump) is the same "strap" you are talking about.
I do move around the forum and have seen you post in someone elses thread about something meaningless to the subject. I have also had several threads which i may have also stated my money issues and have talked about my many issues with a carburetor.

Forget the bumper. You need to stick your head up your rear. OK, stick it up the car's rear. The sending unit will be in the fuel tank above the rear end. It can be tricky to get to it if both rear tires aren't off the ground. With the rear suspension at full drrop you can reach it easier. Be sure the metal part of the sending unit is grounded. There is a rubber isolated contact poking out of the sending unit. That's for the wire running to the gauge. Don't ground that one.
