Well I'm all packed up to go to the track Sunday with a few of the guys here and to again look for a driver for my car... I have a sign made up with "DRIVER WANTED"... I'll pull the car out of the trailer and have it sitting there... going to fire up the generator, turn on the AC... kick back and help a couple buddies on their cars and see if I can find a driver... this is going to be a more fun type weekend and help than anything else... sure would be nice to find a driver because if I dont find a driver in the next couple of weeks then the car goes up FOR SALE

Thanks.... If I didnt have a stroke which most people wouldnt know I would just slow the car to 10.0 but with the stroke my brain to hand eye are all wacked and cant cut a light to save my life.... so its either a driver for the car or its up for sale

Mr. P what if you pulled the body off that car and stretched the chassis 8-10". Then you could hang a '36 Plymouth body on it, slow it down to about 10.80's, drive off the foot.
Why would I want to do that... I already have a 38 Ply street rod... my problem is racing now days... the brain to eye hand is all over the map.... its not like I dont want to race it just cant happen ... plus the doc says no way.... if I even turn my head fast I will get dizzy... not all the time but it happens

You ain`t 16 no more and like me reflexes are slower. Life is short. Race till you die. It ain`t over till it`s over.
If it was just been slow I'd change the dial in the delay box... but thats not the problem

Got the BBQ and some dogs... I'm ready to kick back
Now that is a good attitude. Good luck finding the right team member and try to enjoy this sport.
I have some beef franks and the little grill to bring to the track this weekend. Sat is a double header points race at my regular track (2 races in one, long day). And I am thinking of going to VA for a $2K race at a 1/8th mile track on Sunday and they are repeating it again on Monday!

Mike, slow it down to 9.50's and bring it to the CC events stuff. I would be more than happy to run it in No Box for you. I am looking for a ride since Orb is not bringing out the Cuda this season. If nothing else I will definitely be coming to Milan for the Chrysler race late this season. Racing at Pacemakers in Mt. Vernon this Sunday or I would come up to Milan.
Thanks for the offer Lonnie(which I might take you up on at the CC Events) but I'm looking for a driver thats near buy so we can make the local events and travel to some of the farther away ones.... I would like to get it out at least 2 times a month... more if the driver can swing it

Mike, Best of luck finding a driver. Think you would make a great crew chief and mentor for someone. Hang in there til you find someone, I think you would have some fun in that role. If I was a young guy walking through the pits and saw that sign, couldn't afford to race my own, building a new one or just had to sell one......... I'd probably wet myself Have a great time!

I told a couple young bucks I work with about it. Both Chrysler contractors....one has been 9s before, the other has been in a 10 second car before but only on the street. The second guy's eyes got real big when I brought it up, he said he wondered if it could be slowed down a bit to start with....I told him to come out and talk to you about it. They're both east siders also which might help.
Mind if I bring a few more dogs to put on the grill? I probably won't be hanging around for eliminations but will have the gf and her two boys there, they will want to eat too.
