Why not ANY self serve wrecking yard? Take a 3/8 ratchet, a 6" extension and get a few. They fit nicely in your front pocket.

Not all of them have th internal 3/8 square to remove. Some have a very thin hexed external mid nut to remove it. Remember you also need the plate. Is it worth sticking it in your pocket when they may well just say take it when you show them what you have.

did you try a dealer? They still sell the plate over the counter i would assume they still can get the fitting too.

'central jersey' covers a lot of territory but if you're by the shore, there's a dosdge dealer that used to advertize regularly in the Raceway Park News. Starts with an R. Maybe Reigler? If they're still around, they drag race regularly and will help you out or point you to a source.

If you're more north, see if GI Salvage in Pine Brook or Roxbury Wrecking by Kenville are still open. GI is muddy but hangs onto stuff longer. Roxbury folks are nicer.

Hey "Moparforlife"... are you a wrecking yard owner? Sorry if I stepped on your toes.
The big chain wrecking yards in CA charge a $2 fee to enter. I always get something, but I don't always get a reciept.

No I am not a yard owner but I do like to be trusted. The are getting to be more yards all the time that charge to get in or just plain will not let anyone in to look around. This is why. People like you ruin it for the rest. It is no different than any other shop lifting.
I wouldn't even want you to come to my home to look around. You might find some small part to stick in your pocket before you leave.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

Just went to my local Dodge/Jeep dealer. Ordered plate, gasket and male/male fitting. $38 bucks, had it next day.

Are you sure you want to advertise on the internet that you're a thief? Hopefully you don't intend to ever buy or sell any parts on this board as now you've told everyone here that you'll steal if given a chance.

Lighten up, Andy. I was messing around. You and the other "Holier than thou" types need a reality check. Nobody is perfect. People calling me a thief may be the same ones that smoke too much, drink too much or use illegal drugs. Do you want to insult the Moparts member that posted about abstaining from drinking beer for 2 weeks to appease a doctor? Of course not. Its OKAY to drink to excess. I dont profess to be better than you or anyone else on this site. Also, I am fully aware of what I write AND the high profile of the screen name. Without a face to face meeting, you can never know who to trust anyway. People who know me are aware of my integrity as well as my twisted humor. If you are slow to catch on, put down the bong or ignore what offends you.

You said you were a thief and who are we to call you a liar. If you don't mean it don't say. We have to take you at your word.

Oh, so I am the only one that makes jokes and has a little fun? I didn't think that this forum required us to swear on a bible. RELAX! I didn't realize that so many of you are gullible, judgemental AND perfect. What lucky wives you must have.
Okay... I guess I'll have to make myself clearer in the future to keep SOME of you from getting all riled up. Wow. I have had oversensetive girlfriends before...not good.
I found a strange discovery that many other members may already be aware of: Most, if not ALL Diplomat/5th Ave/Gran Fury cars with the pre-cats near the manifolds used 90 degree oil filter adapters. Cheap at the yards. YES, I pay for them. I also dont kick puppies. I give to charities. I have DONATED blood, mowed my handicapped neighbors yard FREE and give away parts when someone can use what I don't need.

It didn't sound like you were joking and I think that is just the excuse you are using since you were called out on it. My opinion is you were telling the truth to begin with.

Now you try to cover your @$$. You seem to go from on extreme to the other.

One extreme to the other? You sound like my ex wife! Hey, I can't disagree with that. I have been the angriest person and the happiest. I have been super cheap and then very spendy. I have been really nice to people and really mean. Hey.... Thats life. I talk alot of trash, but I also brag about my friends as well as businesses that deserve it. I have been accused of being a robot to TTI headers or Year One. The way I figure it, if a product or business is better than the rest, they need to be recognized. I have an extreme personality and enjoy stirring things up. I once saw a "Far Side" comic strip that had an image of God standing over Earth, with a container, sprinkling people out of it. The container had a label..."Jerks" The caption read..."God making the world more interesting" . I liked that. Its true though! This world would really be boring if nobody annoyed anyone or if nobody told jokes. This forum is to help others and to learn about these great cars we all love. If people just wanted the facts and only the facts, they can simply refer to the FSM. I enjoy the diversity of opinions here. I have been into Mopars since the mid 1980s, but only joined this forum this year. I like a smart aleck now and then, and I can take a joke. Some of you should try it sometime.
