Love the stuff.... I have jetted up 2 jet sizes and run exactly the same ET... havent touched the timing yet and it might need a little more jet... mine is also a QF 1050 ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

You have already beat the gas carb by 0.12 ET. How was the weather on both days? It looks like the more fuel you put in, the quicker it goes. How is the sixty foot time? What air bleed changes did you make?

Thanks for the great info! Bummer E85 is not that common around the Houston area...
Several Krogers and H-E-B stations in Houston carry E85:

So it should be easy to fill a drum for a race car. If you want to convert your daily driver, than there may not be enough?

I have done 3 conversions on my own carbs at this point and helping out John (modified1090) with his. I had very few issues with mine. The biggest issue I had was getting the carbs converted and having to wait for the snow to melt to run them. The two carbs I have ran: On my roadrunner best et on 110 race gas 11.07 118 Best pass with E85 10.98 121. The biggest difference I have seen in it is that it ran the 10.98 in mineshaft air. Then the following weekend hot, humid and head wind still ran 11.11 at 118. I was really impressed. Car only lost .013 when everyone on gas was .3 slow. The stuff is killer consistent too. 2 weeks ago first run at 1PM last run at 10PM went 11.06 at 1PM 11.04 at 10PM. With my dragster best run on 110 race gas 9.05 144 E85 8.78 151 If you have any questions send me an email ajcasiniracing@hotmail.com or PM on here.

Besides the carb. change .what else is required to run this e-85?fuel pump? Thaxx.
Being that the E-85 burns 30% more fuel over gas the only thing is that will your pump supply the added 30% with a cushion... so maybe 40 % more than when you run gas ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

best thing was engine temp
warmed motor to 160 (t-stat rating)
fans on while heating tires
stage at 170 fans off
trap at 180 fans on
temp back at 160 at trailer
60 deg day , normally i would be 200 and have to run water pump and fans to cool down
