3 examples of stamped date codes on the jack mechanism at this link;

http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dateCodes101.shtml

I have not seen a jack like yours in any 1970 model year car & every one I have seen has a date code.

the only other # is on the jack hook I found the letter A in the middle of it...A large "A" right behind the #'s and a Penstar.....

So I can't find anyother #'s I guess I'm gonna have to sand blast it to get down to it...Which I don't want to...

The reason you can't find a date code on the mechanism is cause it was probably like I said a mid sixties jack. This was before they were date coded I think they started in Mid/late 67 dating jack masts. My opinion is you have the right hook since it's clearly the right part # but it's the wrong mast and base for that era....

Other than the hook, it does not fit for a '70 at all.

Expert = X is the unknown quanity & spurt is a drip under pressure, so do the math, experts are over rated.

The gray paint was used over several years, I have an early jack (no date code) so it is likely from '68 or farther back. The gray is the same.

Go up to this post and look again. I'll be honest in this pic only the base and mechanism match. The hook is a different shade.....
