SSWWEEEEEEEEEEETTTTT CHALLENGER!!!!!! Whats in it and whats it run??

Thanks. Nice Duster by the way

It's a beat up old street racer I've owned for 30 years now, bought it when I was 15.
I've done a LOT of street racing over the years but I'm a real rookie at the track, notice my window down in the launch
pic

It's had countless 340 and 440 engines in it over the years from mild to wild.
Current engine is a bone stock 1966 440(and I mean 40k original mile engine pulled from a one owner 66 New Yorker and the shortblock was not touched) original 516 heads freshend and larger exhaust valves installed. Shadetree home port job.
1 7/8" Hooker Comp headers 3" straight pipes to Flowmaster at rear axle.
Trans is a stock Hemi 4 speed with stock type MP clutch setup.
4.10 rear, SS springs and snubber. 28x12.50 ET streets. All steel street car except glass T/A hood, full interior, stereo, etc.
Car ran 11.80 with an MP .509 hyd. cam and Torker II intake with Holley 750 DP carb.
The car has an 8 3/4 rear end in it so I did fairly soft launches resulting in terrible 60 foot times to keep from destroying the rear. There was definitely room for improvement with a stronger rear end and a harder launch.
I'm getting ready to swap the engine into another Challenger of mine and wanted to make it more street friendly so I switched the cam to MP's .528 solid and installed a stock Sixpack setup.
I've had it to the track once since then and it slowed to 12.20's. I don't have the free time to get it to the track much to tune it but I think there's a little more in it. I'll tweak the engine some more once it's in the other car.

THANKS for sharing the info and the compliment!!!!

Ive owned my duster for about 10 yrs now and Ive thought of selling it MANY times but just cant do it. My dad has had almost every car in the mopar family because he likes to build/race and then sell them to build another one but everytime I think of selling mine and see someone else driving it,it makes me sick.
Good for you that you have kept it all these yrs and it is beautiful and good running!!!

3140# without me and I have the 002/003 spring package.

I don't have immediate access to my car right now (@ a freinds garage) as I work on my '71 Charger.

Just took the hanger (I may ave used the rear I did this long ago) and bored the hole out to accept the rear shackle tube then welded the tube to the bracket. Flipped the mount and welded it to the underside of the frame.

I'll get some pics as soon as I can if you are interested

Please do!!!

I'll try this weekend
Hope my buddy hasn't been out ripping on my car
