My Calvert shocks should be here today.I only ordered them as one of my old Monroe 70/30 drag shocks finally decided it didn't want to work anymore.

Well the results were not in the caltrac front shocks favour. The car definitely had more rise at the hit but the car started to sway from side to side at the top end of the track. The faster it was the worse it got, scary stuff. We swapped the the shocks over back to my old CE 3 ways, set on 60/40 and the problem was gone. Maybe my car just didn't suit the front shock ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) There was also a 25mph head wind all weekend which wouldn't of helped.

Tig Do you think your car might be a little heavy for the calverts, looking at the vid, it doesn't look like front end lift is your problem, was that run with the ce 3 ways and have the strut rods loosened the front end up more.
Mick
Mick, that run was with the C E's. Yes I do think it might be too heavy. The strut rods and upper arms have loosend it up. Weight transfer was better with the calverts, I think they just rose and let too much air under the car at the top end. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif)

I sure wish someone made shocks for my Aspen (408)cause all i have is a cheap set of gas shocks from Car Quest.Sucks to be me!My best 60' is 1.41 Just thinking here about the side to side motion you experienced on your test runs with these shocks.Would you have to run more air pressure in the rear tires if it's applying more weight transfer? If i run to low of air pressure in my slicks (under 15) my car moves all over the track.17psi with bias and 21 with radial slicks Just a thought. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)

A good point, though switching to the 60/ 40 ce's and no other changes cured the problem ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif)
