Man this is a long winded thread.I was only expecting a few replies when i started it.Appears this is a heated debate .Not sure weither to say thanks or your welcome ...

but did you learn anything usable

I learned plenty.First, the myth that a 3spd. is faster than a 2 spd. in a car that weighs more than 3000 lbs is just that a myth.Second ,i learned that a Powerglide takes less power to operate than a 727 by far.Third, i learned that a Powerglide is cheaper to build and more durable than a 727 or 904 .Most importantly i learned that im content with the Glide in my Dart now and that my car has more in it with a new convertor and doesnt need 3 gears as i was told many times in the past ...

Always remember: There is usually an agenda at work, no matter what the topic.... Best to do your own thing, let the learning curve mature and try not to let it morph into a new agenda.

It's just the internet. Who gives a rip? Read between the lines, and reject 99.9% of what you read. Including this post.
