I was only there Saturday and I had a blast. I actually got to watch alot of racing. I saw Dragrcr97s (Ron) valiant make 5 passes and watched him autocross the car twice . All in all, I had fun. The HEMI shootout was awesome and I watched Bob Mazzolinis SS 68 Cuda do a HUGE wheely that scared the pooh out of him causing a little damage from lifting on the throttle. Definitely a slower show than last couple of years, but still great. Maybe one day I will get to race something.

Sure hated to miss it this year. We had to choose between SCEDA in LA, MATS(our sentimental favorite), and West Coast Hot Rod at Bakersfield. We chose WCHRA since it's at home and we've just bought a house so a little savings in diesel was a good thing.
Apparently, we made the right decision because we were able to represent the Mopar faithful by winning the event in the electronics class. In a short field, we used a couple .00x lights and dead on my 10.53 dial to take home a tiny check and a huge trophy. Great weekend, beautiful weather, but we sure missed being there with y'all!!!!

The show was great. We put on our autocross and everyone had a great time! Here's a video from the event.

Taking a fast lap around the Autocross course in the Hotchkis Challenger with 11 time National SCCA Solo Champion Mary Pozzi at the wheel was the highlight of the weekend for me.
Thanks to Hotchkis for the opportunity to have my first laps around an Autocross course. Riding with a champion of Mary's talent is a fantastic introduction to the AutoX hobby.
Please come to MATS next year too!!!

I had a good time, but heck if you can't have a good time in Vegas in late march when you live in cold Wyoming, then you aren't trying, turnout out was low it seemed to me, we had a little issue in N/SS that I'd say Phil Painter handled excellently, he went way out of his way to make things right with everyone. Guess the only glitch was I saw where J Body refered to my last name being butchered again, for some reason that happens every year, have begun to wonder if someone is playing a trick on me, my last name is Willett, not a super common name but pretty simple name, over the years in Vegas, I've been called,,,,,,Wilbert, Willard,,, Wilket,,,, and I think Wilker,,,,, not sure whatthey were calling me this year, guess jay will have to let me know,,,,,, I also found out Friday night that Larry Gilley has more best friends than anybody else in the world, Larry's allway a friendly guy, but when he's lubed up a little,,,,, yep

This was the best year yet for me and my Gang. After changing everything in the car but the steering wheel and using the strip for the test & tune. We unloaded thursday knight Teched the car and got in on the $20 a run practice. Ran horrible two runs and my buddies tuned her back where it was suppose to run. best was a 10.69 @ 128. went to round 5 in the eliminations, Dialed a 10.79 against Dave owens in the champagne colored 66 coronet his was a 10.99 and I ran a 10.73 Frustrating but the time of my life! Awesome weekend and i'll be back! Dave if your out there Great Race! dialed a 10.99 and ran an 11.0 Made me run it out the back door! Mike Owen
