ok - stock, worn out shocks
to
RMS tubular uppers, adjustable strut rods and QA1 Shocks ( single adjustable)

what do you think the 60' difference would be for a mid 11 sec street car?

What's purpose of adjustable strut rods?

The ones I had from cap auto have no bushings on lower control arm and have spherical rod ends on k member mounting side. Frees up the suspension to make it rise with less effort.

I have heard of the adjustable struts with heims helping to loosen up the travel in the front. I'm not sure how the adjustable shocks would be better for launching. If the stock shocks were beat Im guessing they would allow plenty of travel and quick and loose too? I'm thinking the shocks and UCAs would be better for controlling what happens when the weight settles back down. Strictly armchair quarterbacking though, my car is set up for turning...

I'm guessing no change ( maybe a couple .01s with the lighter wallet)

save your money, buy some cheap 90-10's and upgrade your converter running 12.50's I'd expect about a mid 1.6 60'. Are you having traction problems??? What do you have for rear suspension???

I would disagree on the shocks... a godd set of adjustable
shocks are usually better than a so called 90/10
because they usually arent what you think they are
for the extension... I use to buy the cheap shocks
years ago and they were some what better than stock
but when I finally bought a set of adjustable the
60' dropped with no other changes....... JMO
On the OP Q .... if all else is equal you might
see .1..... just a guess

this is not referring to my car - I was asking for an 11 sec car...

Anyway - The car is a 68 Coronet vert, runs pretty strong, too strong without a cage actually and had worn out shocks in it during the initial tests - the setup was completely stock and we swapped to this :

So with a 1.71 60' time what do you think the gains were going over to the QA1 / RMS setup?

He might see .3 maybe more... he's going to really
free up the front end for better transfer but it will
also depend on the rear suspension.... JMO

You better spill the beans because I'm making the same swap

ok.... ok....

first of all we could only test the 60' as the car did not have a cage, it's ahakedown run with a little over idle launch, and getting out of it around 1000' was in the high 11's ( his first time out with the new motor) we were either going to scrap the test or just do 60' times...

after that the numbers are what they are - I was surprised and Bill from RMS was even impressed. The pictures show the alignment difference, you cant mistake that!

that must have been the last issue Fred - there is no pink Challenger in the new issue.

I changed my original 340 torsion bars on my Dart to 6 cyl ones and it went from 1.74 to 1.62 with no other changes and pulled both wheels off the floor.

I'd be elated if my combo picked up that much in 60'. Looks like it keeps better camber angle too!

My main reason for doing it is because of my caster issue, besides the fact I need to revamp my tie rod angles to get rid of bump steer.

That seems pretty bad before, were the tires spinning? Something was out of wack, IMO.

Target: Sixty foot = 0.12*ET + .17
For an 11 second car should go: .12*(11.0) + .17 = 1.49
