76 police spec A body is the only A body I know of with a factory rear bar
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

I do not think any cars got rear bars prior to 70. I could be wrong. The 70 E body AAR & T/A's came stock with them but initially the R/T's & cuda's didn't. Sometime in the 70 year (I think around Jan) the Challenger R/T's and Cuda's got them as standard equipment and continued to get them through the 74 Challenger Rallye's & Cuda's. The B bodies didn't start getting them until 71 and then only on R/T's, Road Runners, GTX's, & I think Superbee's (Not sure about the Superbee's). In 72 or 73 when the Charger Rallye's appeared they had them also. A & C Bodies.... Who cares they were A & C bodies. Seriously I don't know about the A & C Bodies. The F & M Bodies had them but I am not sure what the criteria was. Aspen R/T's, Cop cars and such i'm sure. I am sure that there were other ways to get them such as Police & Tow Packages but I am not sure which options would call them out.

No rear bars on b-bodies in 71', 72' was the first year.

The 69 LAPD spec B-bodies had a rear sway bar. It's listed in the parts book. Unique to those cars. I've seen one for sale, but I don't know if I have a good picture of it.
IIRC, it looks more like a 71 B-body than a E-body one.

E-bodies they were avail in 70-71 , ( not sure of availability on the later cars but I assume they were )
I don't think the Dana equipped E-bodies were avail with the rear bar
the earlist I've ever seen one on a B-body was 71/72 vintage.
and I think the 73/74 B-body bar is different than the earlier one
edit, is the rear bar for a 72 B-body the same bar as 73-74 vintage or is it the same as the E-body bar and mounts

For the most part, dimensionally, the bar itself was the same (except 72’ Dana, note the dip in the bar in the above picture), the standoffs were slightly taller for 73 and up than they were for the 72’ versions. The later spring isolator mount raised the anchor/mount plate higher in ration to the differential. Since the bar was originally serviced with the standoffs, different part numbers were used. There is a later b-body(Cordoba/Charger?) bar with a slight dip more towards the center having the taller standoffs, not positive on the application but I believe may have been used with the 9-1/4” rear. Am currently running one these on my 72’ RR/Dana until I can find one of the original Dana bars.

'71 B-bodies have all the mounting holes predrilled for rear bars. I can't imagine that none came with one. Maybe just cop cars.
I've seen plenty of them in '71 and I have 2 '72 with rear bars one is a 72 RR with Gtx package and another is a SSP 400 4spd. Both factory...

Locating holes for the anchor bracket bolts are present on 71' b-body frame rails making retrofit of the 72' and later rear bars very easy. Likely, there are/have been many 71's running around with rear bars, fact remains for 71' the factory never offered a rear bar factory installed on the b-body, with the possible exception of a special order Police package.
"72 RR with Gtx package"? There wasn't a "GTX" package or option offered in 72', any U or V coded 72' Road Runners were renamed "Road Runner GTX".
