I am having a major clearance issue with my Idler arm and Hooker Super comp 5116 Headers on my 71 Demon 340?? When the wheel is turned right major rub then it jumps over tube and needs to be wedged back over the tube
It is a R3 block with stock motor mounts....could that be the reason?? I do not want to ding the header yet but, is there any other choice??

If it's the stud I could consider replacing the steering gear and center link/idler arm/pitman arm with 73-76 parts.

If the idler runs above the header tube and it's the body of the idler hitting I'm not much help.
