I know I'm way late to the party here, but I finally found a picture of the Hemi fresh air lid off of "The Mailman's" black 71 N96 Hemi Challenger. I have this lid now, it's hanging on my living room wall. Also, Dad bought that blue 71 Hemi Challenger from Walt back in the 80's, then sold it back to him. The shaker was added, as well as other things. The part number for the fresh air lid is 3577396, but it is not "chrome with decal". That part number is 2658852, parts book confusion.

I know of at least 6 coded for the N94 hood for '71 - here's a CANADA spec. 383 4-spd R/T THANK YOU! Finally! That car from the tag would look awesome. it is "restored" without the hood OK that's crazy

The N94 hood would have been available on the 1970 cars after the hood was introduced. I do not know if the FAST guys check date codes?
(They must not check thing's too close since Tom has wheel lip moldings on his T/A. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />)
The N94 hood would have been available for 1971 also.
I am not aware of any that came factory on any 440-6 cars yet, but 340, 383 & Hemi cars are known. When Mopar decided in 1973/1974 to make all their sponsored NHRA Pro Stock racers switch and race in NHRA Super Stock A, SS/AA and all the way down to SS/G and SS/GA they wrote a letter to NHRA saying that Dick Landy 1971 Hemi Challenger had been made with a left over 1970 T/A hod on it as a special "Show Car" NHRA turned him down to be allowed to race that car with that hood until the "Letter" from Mopar on Mopar stationary made in 1973 was magically produced later that day Can you say do anything to win tactics, especially in drag racing Mopar was not the first company to fib to NHRA about factory produced cars for racing, look at the 1968 Ford 428 HP FE motors rated at 335 HP, 5 HP more than the HP 390 in the 1967 Fairlane, Mustangs, Cougars and Mercury Cyclones
