red is a switched 12volt source
Black is ground
Green is your tach signal source
white is the dash lighting

and to clarify..the green tach signal would go to the negative terminal on the coil.

Absolutely correct.

The gauges like a small inline fuse
on the red wire also. If you have any trouble with
the Auto Meter stuff pm me, I designed a great number of their gauges and tachs over the last 15 years!

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but is a tach adapter needed with MSD-6AL and Autometer tach? I'm putting together a custom gauge panel for my Demon. Thanks.

I've never needed one using an Autometer tach with one.
