Got a pair of black grills complete this weekend! I think this ends my quest for the last 1 1/2 years to get a good set of grills. Of course, I'm over $2500 invested and still just have grills a little better than good enough for a driver. Now I need to sell my spares to try to recover some costs. It's been an experience to say the least.

2nd Gen Barracuda grilles are defintely on the difficult to side to find in good shape. Thankfully the 67s were made entirely out of metal, I can only imagine how difficult it is to find the plastic 68 and 69s.

Congrats on getting those grilles. The '69 grilles seem to be much harder to get then the '67 and '68 grilles which aren't easy to find either.

Sorry! I've been out of touch since my last post. Haven't done anything on the Barracuda. My next challenge us to find an A/C condensor. Anybody got an NOS one for an A body? I did get my trans leak and electrical problems fixed on the RoadRunner and been showing it. Did you go to the Mopar show at MIR?

I bought s repro one off of an EBAY source. It looks OK but probably has a few less fins per inch. I can go ahead and get my grills, bumper and valence installed now.

My wife is kicking my you know what to get back to working on the car! The day was spent checking my inventory, making room to work on the car and I got the gas tank in. What a job. My wife helped and is going to be helping to get r' done because she says it's going to be her car! That filler tube is a bear to get in the gas tank! The flip out gas cap is a nice change from what I've been used to on my 69 B body cars over the years. I like it!

John,

Yes, to have a significant other who wants to help see such a project through is extremely rare. Mine did realize the importance of having something which served as an escape from the madness of work, but also wasn't afraid to give my collar a sudden yank if she was put in the ignore mode a little too much.

Please keep up the momentum on that wonderful machine in which you essentially took chicken s--t and have turned it into Chicken Cacciatore.

That would be nice but you'd have to come pretty far East to see it! Columbus is probably as far West as I can go...maybe even as far as Chicago...but not this year and not unless the A/C is blowing cold!

Back in the day it was Cragars with redlines. I think that would look the best. JMO
