Don't know how I missed the Last month's updates. All I can say is the level of work you are doing is incredible. I thought about trying to do my windows in the same/similar manner as you have. The pics are great motivators and extremely inspiring. Keep the updates coming.  Joe

Great work. I'm installing the window mechanisms in my car right now. I'm nervous about the aligning process but so far the assembly is going well. How complicated was the 1/4 glass to take apart and redo? There are rivets holding the stainless trim onto the aluminium bracket on my 73. I'm nervous about drilling out rivets around the glass too. Any tips you can give me on that would be great. That car is looking awsome. Keep posting pics!

I'm installing a Tremec TKO600 5-speed, which I bought from Keisler. I did the test fit when I was changing the floor pan. I had the tranny, bellhousing, engine, K-member all bolted in. I also bolted in the rear axle, and tried to get the driveshaft angles close to correct. The top and passenger side of the trans tunnel had to be slightly enlarged. The top needed to be raised about 3/4" and the side moved out about the same. Now I have decent clearance there. Less would have been enough, but then clearance is tighter than what I like. Keisler included a patch piece for the tunnel, which I threw out, and fabricated my own. I butt welded everything, and you wouln't even see that the tunnel has been modified. I'll be running TTI headers, TTI motor mounts, stock K-member and a manual steering box.

The 1/4 glass was not that hard to take apart. On the 70, there are small screws, not rivets. If you can get the right rivets, yours shoudn't be any more difficult. I had to take them apart to get the stainless trim polished. I found the stainless to glass sealing strip available in a local glass shop. It comes in various thicknesses, and about 2" wide. After installation, the excess is trimmed along the molding with a sharp knife.

I'm worried about my door window install. Hopefully I will have my Cuda back in December. Then its time to install everything that is all layed out in pieces like your parts were.
I have the engineering diagrams. But is there any procedure you can give us or any tips in the correct sequence to install everything?

Here is a some update again. Lately I didn't take too many pictures, but the rear glass, rear spoiler, rear window louvers and headliner are all installed. I'm still waiting for some of my instruments to be returned. The back of the car now looks almost complete. I will post more pictures soon.
I also rebuilt the manual steering box, with the fast ratio worm gear, NOS seals, bearings, etc. It turned out very nice.

awsome build!! are you doing a modern A/C unit? i love the look, and drive train!! modern touches,, JUST AWSOME!! and the up grades can be returned to factory..sweet the likely hood of someone offering you WAY to much money.. will be there!!! cool car!!  jc

For the steering box, I glass beaded the outside with a fine glass bead, then rubbed it with fine steel wool. This will bring back the original as cast look.
