I have a 1971 Duster with bucket seats and I need seatbelts for the front. I know 1970 is different. Are 1971 and 1972 the same? I know a guy who has 72 seatbelts, Are they correct for my 71, and if not does anyone have a pic of what I need?

Thanks in advance.

72 seats are different. You can use them but you may have to order 71 seat buns to work with the 71 style pattern.

This is correct. I should know, I've owned every year except for a '70

Do 72 seats have the hard backs? I know 70-71 do.

I dont know if the belts are the same but I know the rear seat bottom is different from 71 to 72. I tried to put 72 seats in my 71 duster and the rear seat bottom would not work because the hump is taller on the floor under the rear seat in the 71 car. I suppose I could modify the hump on the seat frame to make it work. The bucket interior was out of a 72 Demon and I tried to put it in a 71 duster. I will probably just end up trading it for the right stuff.

1972 Duster bucket seats have the hard (plastic) seat backs.

1969 Dodge Super Bee A12 (440 Six Pack, 4-speed, Dana 60 4.10)

1972 Plymouth Road Runner (400, 4-speed, 8.75" 3.23)

1974 Plymouth Duster 360 (360, 4-speed, 8.75" 3.23)

71 seats have a hard back, the plastic back early 71 is more pointed at the top, mid 71 72 the back is more squared. 72 belts are diff than 71 the 72's next to the doors are in a big bulky looking retractor with a elec conector i think, 71's have the smaller non sensor retractor. not 100%.. good luck finding the 71 front belts.

Yes 72 buckets would bolt right in. the squared off seat back is probably what it should have and would be correct for a later build 71

Are the front seat belts including the one along the roof for you shoulder the same 71,72? I have a set from a 72 Duster bucket car that I just got.
Thanks again. Joe
