After trying ALOT of cams and turbos on the same basic engine, I came up with some very basic self tested rules: The smaller the turbine, the smaller and wider you want the cam. Pump gas likes less lsa at higher boost levels. Race gas likes more lsa (seems backward doesn't it?) A free flowing turbine/wheel combo will like a cam closer to that of a n/a engine, don't be afraid of a 260+ cam.

A cam like that would really flatten out engine performance, unless you had HUGE turbine wheel(s) and housing(s). There is to much int/ex overlap to run a normal turbine selection. On the positive side, you wouldn't hurt your engine with a cam like that. You would contaminate the intake charge with alot of exhaust gas. You wouldn't make enough power to hurt anything.

Sounds like a real nice choice to me.

You're the first one who's ever brought that up. All I know is that was as close as Comp could grind it without going to a custom blank. I wanted as little as possible. It's worked for several years so I guess I can't complain too much.

Yours is a roller which does change things but it's still a lot more cam than what I've got.

I'm thinking about a cam swap. Currently running a Paxton blower with a 216/220, 114 LSA. I have 2 other cams I could use. One a 219/224, 114 LSA and the other a 205/210, 116 LSA. Also have 4.56 gears and 3800 stall. The truck has always e.t'd better than MPH.
