I'm bored at work and just ordered all my junk to put my new engine together so here ya go. I'd like to see high 11's WHEN IT'S ALL SORTED OUT.

.030 440 decked squared, 10.5 (maybe more havent't run the numbers) Diamond pistons, balanced, blueprinted short block. Scott Brown solid cam 242/254 @ .050 548/540(536/528 after lash), 1.5 roller rockers, ported 516 head w/ 2.14/1.81 valves, 6-pack w/ fresh air, headers, 3" all the way out the back. MP distrib (curved), Oragne box, 727 TA Cheetah valve body, 9.5 PTC coverter (3200), 3.91's. It's in the car below 70 Charger manual steering/brakes no AC box, glass front valance. Thanks.

I am guessing for low 12's. Alot can depend on the size tire you run. I will say my son runs 26" tires with 3.91's and zing's his 400 over 6500. I would think you plan on about a 28" tire ? Ron

without the six pack I'd say mid-high 11's based on the rest of the combination. With the six pack dunno! Depends how good you can tune

Got any #s for those 516 heads? Unless they're done really well, I'm going to guess they're the choke point w/ that combination.

well here are the numbers @.500 255.1 - 171.6 @ .600 260.4 - 180.2

"How good are you with six packs?"

1 set, but I have a few friends that are really good with them. It will be tuned very well before I hit the track. Although I will bring jets and springs to test.

I ran a very similar combo w/six pack for years, 9.5 comp, 246/.559 solid, ported 906's. 3.54 gears, 28" slick, 4120 lb. w/driver. Would dip into the high 11's with good track prep. Ran 12.10's all day long w/typical track conditions. Thru the mufflers.

I wouldn't be suprised if the weight is closer to 4000+. Either way, sounds like an 11.99 package to me.

no where near enough converter to get it moving so I'll guess low to mid 12s.

I'm 185, it's not as heavy as an R/T 3623 (shipped) 318 XH's (what it was) were 3323, I added a BB but have lighten it up. Not sure it will be 4k. I will weight it. My 67 coronet w/ PS, full AC box, with heavy Cragars me and gas was 3850.

As for stall the was the converter recommended by the cam guy.

I always heard the 70 Charger was the heaviest of the second generations and tipped the scales at 4k, but thats just hearsay info. Obviously, best bet would be to check a scale to know for sure.

FWIW, I had a 68 Charger a few years back. All steel, full interior with a very stout 451. Went 10.90's at 124 with it. Plucked the engine and trans with no changes and dropped it in a 3300 A body. It went 10.0 at 133. More people were impressed with the Charger than the Demon. Maybe it was the dog dish caps...

Something about a big sleek car going fast, very cool man. Good luck with it.

well I would let a converter guy pick the converter not the cam guy it will run but you will give up a bunch on the bottom end.

11.80-12.00,depending on the tune for the 6bbl.I think a TM-7 and a good 750 would do the trick IMHO.

Nautilus Racing-
We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.

yeah but the 6-pack looks real ggod...

Scott Brown is the cam guy. It's a custom grind. He sells the conveter too. 11.90's would make me happy. Can't wait for the snow to melt!
