Well,I had a half descent Sat,Not that you care Mike  The left side is fully blocked, got the slider painted,Thanks again Sam for the measurements on the mirrors,oh and also for the mirrors,got the 15x8 wheels for the rear,already blasted,painted and cleared,pics to follow soon....It will be at Carlisle..

I like the 77 truck just fine!  I just really think the 76 is going to look awesome with the alpine white and wood trim.  The 77 reminds me of my 80RC in a way, big motor and SE model but no a/c,cruise.
The 77 is the go-fast truck and the 76 is the old man special. When you finish the 76 is the 77 going away, old man?

They were called Californian trucks! They were shipped without fenders and the fiberglass fenders were installed and custom graphics added before they were sold new.
They are rarer then a warlock or lil red! Remember rare does not always mean valuable.

Well on the tank issue there were still some 77 with the in cab tank. SWB that had dual tanks, like my truck had 1 tank in the bed and one tank in the cab. I have learned that there are some SWB that have both tanks in the bed.

all of those "californian" trucks in question had a in-cab only tank, because the fenders would interfere with the gas neck. This was only done on these trucks. 76440 has a build sheet that could back this up. no peeing mach at all Barry..... but....BTW.... what happened to carlisle.....
Dinuba, California, Home of the PALOMINO ranch and 440 truck farm, where dodge trucks have a home. Have Four 1979 dodge PALOMINO trucks now.

 I just could not buy a truck that had cheby fenders on it . My  worth I think it looks hittyiss, just wrecked the nice look of the truck
I am pretty sure they were not Cheby fenders, they were fiberglass and had the step molded into the fender, and I believe they were from Dodge, I have a set hanging in my garage. The Cheby fenders were steel and had a seperate step.
One thing I noticed about his post..... He says that the tank was moved from behind the seat....didnt Dodge stop doing that in 73-74 ish? and he states that this truck is a 77?
Well look at the pic I attached and you tell me that those rear fenders don,t look like these cheby ones????? Now don,t get me wrong here Iam not trying to start a pissing contest , Just stating facts here thats all Oh I see what you mean about the tank thing and yes they did do away with that long before 77
