I was watching some car restoration show some time ago and I can't really remember when or what channel,but it showed the procedure and the machine used to do this re raping process. It was quite involved and was a pretty complicated looking machine. They mentioned it was old and a very unique machine to do this one process. Labor intensive as well. They did mention that not many of these machines left to do the job.

Does anyone know how to contact beepbeep? He apparently hasn't been on the board lately and/or hasn't checked his PM's.

I saved this picture that someone posted in the member projects section. I have not tried this stuff personally but it is worth a try. It may work for somone who wants the look of the factory material but who isn't concerned about 100% correctness. It is available at The Home Depot.
