We just dyno'd a nice 410 sb mopar using the new RHS heads we sell.
We sell them with 8mm 2.02x1.60 Ferrea 6000 series valves, Comp Beehive springs good for .600 lift, valve jobbed, bowl blend, ready to run OOTB for 1295.00.
This 410 was Scat cast crank, I beam's, KB forged dish pistons, compression was 10.2:1.
Cam was Comp HL295 hyd. cam. Hughes 1.55 rockers and pushrods and our heads like we sell them.
We also tried 3 sets of headers, 2 different intakes and found the best combo was TTI 1 5/8 stepped header with Eddy rpm air gap and OOTB Holley 750DP with a 1" open spacer under it.

It made 485HP at 5400rpm and only dropped 8HP from 5400 to 6000rpm.
It made 517TQ at 4400rpm!!
This was a budget build, and will be in June's Car Craft issue which should be out in April I believe.

How did the headers fit those heads?

That is great torque. Mopar strokers RULE! LOL.

Good show Brian! Do you have any flow data on the heads? That sounds like a nice package.

Heads flow 268@ .500 and 272@.550 and then they go turbulent. Flow curve is great from bottom to top. These are unported, just blended the valve job into the bowl. This is how we sell these heads.

We tried rpm airgap, and super victor. The latter was down on TQ and HP up till 5000rpm...it was down ALOT!!
We tried my 1 7/8 TTI's against TTI's smaller header and the small header beat it everywhere.

Also tried some 1 3/4 Hookers and they were almost as good as the small TTI's but not quite.

Yes they still hang in the port some, but didn't seem to hurt anything!!

Good numbers . I would like to have seen a Weiand X-Celerator on it though. IMHO the Super Victor is to much intake for that combo.

Brian, how do you think these cams perform with that same combo?

1. XE274H

2. XE275HL

Or something similar of your choice?

This was my choice!! With 10.2:1 you don't want a small cam in there or you'll detonate all over the place.
Cranking compression was 180avg. any more and your not really pump gas friendly...at least where I'm at being sea level and dry air.

Smaller cam would only make more TQ earlier which would be good in a truck I guess but we already have 517ft.lbs. on hand!!

Sorry. I realize this is a whole combination/system. Just trying to relate it to the 450 hp thread. I guess I'm off topic. Maybe you have some suggestions over there.

Thanks for sharing Brian!
Are these the Magnum version or the LA? Sounds like the Magnum version?
Thanks,
Ran

"Hey mister, something's wrong with your car, it idles roughly" - number one comment I got in Israel when daily driving a 70 Barracuda with a lopey cam.

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

i'm told that starting this month the RHS smallblock heads are being produced in NZ again. be interesting to hear what differences if any the new supply are like. i know an aquaintence who works in a foundry that casts lawn mower parts who told me at xmas they have the licence to produce these heads for RHS. he said the molds when they arrived from china were in a shocking condition & needed some major retooling to be usable again. could almost guarantee the quality of the casting material for the new heads will improve.

Looks good. I was gonna say this thread is worthless without pics. How much gap is between the valve faces?
