Looking good Ryan. What size rear tires & wheels are you running?

Ryan,
are those the original front seats? i only ask because they're indentical in size and design to the ones that came in my 77 aspen R/T from the factory.

Yep, 6 way adjustable buckets, originally had a fold down "buddy seat" in the center, auto on column, this is what it looked like when I bought it, I just recovered everything in white...... 64,000 original miles.

It's getting painted Kustom shop "Deep Marine Blue" .015" metalflake over a medium blue base & will have White C stripes.

Thats looking REAL good Ryan. I can't wait to see it done. I like how you've kept the rear seat also. Nice.

Do you know if that tranny is installed yet? I haven't heard anything since and I'm hoping all is well.

Yes, we got Scott's car to track twice before end of year, ran 10.41 @ 131. Trans/converter work great, if I recall it's flashing around 5200 behind the hemi. He broke the sure grip the 1st time @ track with it, so we put a spool in it & then 2nd he stripped the teeth off ring gear of converter when it kicked back trying to start it in 30 degree weather in the AM. Going to send verter back to PTC for new teeth & put a start retard on it, there is more left in car juts have to get some more passes on it. But yes very pleased with trans, was a great deal

& yes Dave my SBee has Lightning rods in it as well as my '68 Road Runner also....

Thats GREAT news, thanks. I was sure all went well but never knew for sure.. Too bad about the ring gear and Sure Grip though..
What was his prev best with the 4spd? 10.7 ??

I really like the direction you are taking with your car. I like the look and style of the Bee,originally, and you are improving above and beyond that...

Looks good Ryan! Sounds like you might be ready by summer. What tranny are you running (sorry if I missed previous discussion)? 1 pic looked like lenco but then Hurst was just mentioned (auto or manual)? You're using the hood springs with a steel hood that has a glassed on cowl scoop. I did the exact same thing on my dart. Even with careful attention when I closed the hood, the rear corners where the mud was applied develeped 1" stress cracks on each side. The paint job was flawless except for those 2 spots and it drove me nuts. Just thought I'd mention it so you can try something before the color gets slung.

I think best it ever ran with 4 speed was 11.80 @ 124

SuperBee has a 727, with Hurst Lightning Rods 3 speed shifter from early 70's in it.

WOW! I think that is the only other set of non-console Lightning Rods I have ever seen. I've had my set since 1984, got them used from a buddy of mine.

They will probably be in the casket with me when I go.
