There are tons of blowthrough cars with lots of success. Carb's are by nature temperamental, but its no different in a boosted application, you just have to be willing to put the effort into tuning it.

11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.

9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

Holy you seem like a firecrack, how fast is your car with a hairdryer for an engine?? Let me guess you probably spent nothing for the engine but put a 550.00 turbo and run 8's,with 600dollar headers!!!!!!Ha Ha Ha. If you want to go fast you have to spend money!!!

you can go nines no problem with that set up. a PT76 will support up to 1150hp no problem.... do you think you will have aluminum heads, or a set of steel?

get on yellowbullet and theturboforums.net and look for a deal on a precision 76mm or an 88mm you will find that there are deals to be had and dont let anything discourage you because it will be worth it in the end

We cant kid ourselves, this stuff is expensive....turbos, blow thru carbs, headers, bov, wastegates, top notch fuel pumps and all the other little pieces. That being said, can you be as frugal as possible with the turbo motor and surpass the performance of an n/a motor no questions asked. But if we all wanted to go fast cheap, we wouldn't be driving mopars!!!!

It takes big RPM to get turbos to make boost and you are not going to do this with stock rods and pistons.

Tis to laugh at you sir, my 2.5 Reliant makes 28 psi with stock rods and pistons and cast crank before the lights even drop.

I go through the traps at 5500 rpm!

Give me a small block to turbo and you would need a telescope to make out my rear bumper

Mr.63plymouth.....

Humm yea your 400plus cube motor in a 2500lbs car i hope would run nines.

My 4000lbs brick pickup with a stock block .30 over 8:1 360 with stock x-heads, junk .508 cam, home built headers, with a $500 75mm turbo on 93 Citgo pump with 3.23 gears on drag radials on 7-8psi has been 11.08@125 with a 2.20 60ft. i drove it there and drove it home at 80mph on the expressway and sounds like a stock 360...oh and has single exhaust...no high dollar stuff either...ebay wastegate, blowoff and a $100 walbro fuel pump....Oh and a carb a i built myself too...

So your comparing apples to oranges

Hell, I can run more mph in the 1/8th than most N/A run in the 1/4.....and I built it all myself....but I still have put a buttload of money into it...mostly parts though.
