That's an all aluminum Chance? Not many on this board will to spend 5 grand on a converter. BTW that's the same one we finished the year with.

Only the drive cover is aluminum, it was expensive but a fraction of 5g's. If you're trying to win back some money, the right convertor is extremely important. It paid for itself the first season.

Our last one was all aluminum(5 g's). We have one like you do as well(about 2800 if I remember correctly). Not sure how much ET difference there was between the two. There is more aluminum in the trans fluid when we change it in the all aluminum one. We're still not exactly sure what that means. Our deal is about 2500 HP/glide.

I sent a custom 8" Turbo Action in too PTC for a check up. They told me it had a aluminum stator, and recommended I switched to a billet stator for various reasons, a transbrake was one of them.. They said the converter looked like new...the converter was made in 1998..I sold it to SuperStockRacer here a few years ago..
