if I had to guess, I bet it is for a shift, or a special ordered truck, and that was the letter designated by the shift for that piticular truck to be followed down the line.....

Seeing as there are four 77 D150 440 truck owners here it would be cool to compare the MDH between the trucks.

Mine says
031821L x
Not sure what the L or X are for?

Not sure what the L stands for. Will have to do some checking on that.

maybe it is roman numerals.
I know that we often encode the year as a letter in our bar codes. Does not mean much to anyone else but lets us know if we get a return about when it was in stock.

Ric, have you been being your usual self again and scaring off people like ChrisF again?

On the black & silver truck keep and eye out for it and keep us posted.

Has your paint guy made any new progress? Any pics of the paint process to share?

The 76 adventurer se trucks look better. Nothings beats the wood. Thinking about making the 76 into a Plymouth 100 SE clone. In yellow/white to match the TD.

I have to respectfully disagree, although the wood trim is neat I like the grill on the 77-78 trucks much better than the 76 grills

ihave to agree to disagree (/?)
i like the 74-76 the best.

but the 79-80 dual quad just has a nice classy attitude.

77-78 i like best on RC's. don't know why they just look good on those.

You people are on Drugs,(wanna share)actually 74-76 and 77-78 are my favorites, not fond of the quad grille, but ok, I do love that woodgrain on the moulding though, still need 4 pieces, nos, to complete my set..

i must agree. always have loved the woodgrain molding.
i'm surprised dodge didn't use it more since they loved it so much.

Actually prefer the 74-76 Plymouth TD grille. I wonder what the 78 would look like with a 76 grille? The 77-78 is my least favorite grille from 72-80 too hard to find a decent driver one and looks

I agree that the 77-78 grille was the worst looking of the lot. It was a bastardization of the clean look of the earlier years.

someone new there way around the order sheet. odd color combo and options.
would you post the letter you got from chrysler about the 74 built. i would like to see that.
only cuz you state that long, short and stepside.

that number i believe is only for short and longbed versions. the D14's.
stepsides were D13's and club's D17's.

who else believes there were more than 74 built.
